Artist's Note: This piece is a parody on Leonardo Da Vinci's second version of
The Madonna of the Rocks, painted in 1506. This piece is a response to the absurd popularity of today's "Decoding the Past" genre of books, films and television shows, which weave bits of history with speculation and fantasy. Conversely, the Sudoku puzzle seen here has only one ultimate solution, based on logical reasoning.
